12. - Do I have to pay anything to attend a property auction by the Sistema Torrent?

To attend an auction by the Sistema Torrent you do not have to pay anything.

The only point to take into account is the bank charge that arises from making the bank cheque for 5% of the opening bid. This expenditure is about 0.3% of the amount of the cheque. It means that for a not new property (VAT does not apply) and with an opening bid of 240,000 euros, the cheque to bring in order to gain access to the auction would be for 12,000 euros (5% of 240,000 euros). The expenses to process this cheque would be approximately 36 euros (0.3% of 12,000 euros). As the cheque is returned if the auction is not won and there is no commission for depositing the cheque again in the same bank, the only cost incurred to attend the auction if it is not won is approximately 36 euros.
